Thru the wringer

Sorry there haven't been any pictures of late, but our house has turned into something of a sick ward. Mikhail had a small stomach virus and may be teething again, so he has been generally cranky and clingy, but seems to be on the rebound.
Momma, on the other hand, feels like she has put through the wringer, TWICE. I"ve been out of work since Wednesday. Spent most of Thursday in the ER trying to figure out what is wrong before I was diagnosed with....the STOMACH VIRUS. Basically this means I feel like death, and anything short of clear liquid that I attempt to eat comes shooting out of me in ways that do not need to be described here, but I'm sure you can use your imaginations!! I'm hoping to be on the mend in time for miss Ruby's baptism on Sunday.
Updates to follow.

Playdate with Auntie Amy and Ruby
On Friday we went to visit Auntie Amy and Ruby. We had a very busy day. It started with an al fresco lunch at the willows.
Ruby was very chilly.

1yr Check Up
We had our 1yr appointment today. Here are Mikhail's stats:
31 1/2'' long
23lbs 10ozs
48cm head
VERY healthy. Very orangey tinged too, due to his love for sweet potatoes, carrots and squash. We are going to try to stick to GREEN veggies for a while so we can flush some of the orange from his skin. He's also been given the OK to basically eat everything we do. The only things he can't have are peanuts and shellfish due to their high allergy tendency and honey because it's not pasteurized and can lead to illness. We also need to be careful of nonpasteurized cheeses. But aside from that it's by bye pureed food and HELLO big boy finger food.
He also got two shots today. Took them like a trooper with barley a whimper.
Next check up is at 15 months.

Happy First Birthday!!
Yesterday was Mikhail's first birthday. It's hard for me to belive that it's been a whole year, it seems to have gone by in a blink of an eye and he's changed so much. I loved my cake, and for more pictures from a wonderful day, click here.
